More than a year after Sweet Magnolias wrapped its third season on Netflix, we’re getting a long-awaited premiere date for Season 4. All ten episodes of the new season will drop on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, the streamer announced today. Netflix also released some of the first photos for Season 4, which you can see above and below.
Viewers are invited to come spend the holidays in Serenity in Season 4, “which takes us from Halloween to Christmas, with surprising laughter, unexpected heartbreak and renewed resolve along the way,” reads the official logline. “While negotiating the twists and turns of their romantic lives, Maddie, Dana Sue and Helen must also navigate the return of old foes, the loss of great loves, and the pain of transition from past dreams to present ones. As the men in their lives pursue their own dreams and the teenagers take uneasy steps toward adulthood, the Magnolias support each other with creative problem-solving, deep hearted commitment and — as always — weekly margaritas.”
Based on the popular series of novels published by best-selling author Sherryl Woods, Sweet Magnolias follows lifelong best friends Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen (Heather Headley) as they juggle relationships, family, and careers in the small town of Serenity, SC.
Sheryl J. Anderson returns as showrunner and executive producer; Dan Paulson, whose Daniel L. Paulson Productions is producing, also returns as an executive producer, along with Woods.
