Popular singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has given blockbuster songs for Shah Rukh Khan. The singer has always been surrounded by controversies. Abhijeet and Shah Rukh Khan’s camaraderie has not been well-knit. The singer started feeling he was not getting his due credit for his musical skills and has recently shocked everyone with his sensational claims about industry peers. He claims that Shah Rukh Khan is called ‘hakla’ behind his back by many of his industry peers. In a recent podcast with Subhankar Mishra, Abhijeet spoke his heart out about his equation with SRK. He claimed that he refused to sing many songs in the 90s because he did not like the composition. The playback singer also said, ‘I had become choosy, and I became a little too mindful of this and decided that I would not sing for anyone else but Shah Rukh Khan. That became a problem because many of his contemporaries called him ‘hakla’ (stammerer). Well, Abhijeet’s experience allegedly made him lose interest in playback singing. He further added saying, ‘When I was getting down from the stage, there was one star who came forward and said, ‘Aye! hakle ke liye gaa raha hai na tu (You are singing for that stammerer)?’ Two people said this together. I was shocked! I was like why are they feeling jealous, I got the award for my singing’. The singer now focuses on his concerts and shows. Abhijeet Bhattacharya on Salman Khan

He shocked everyone when he said that he thought Salman Khan is not worthy of speaking. ‘Salman abhi bhi unme nahi aata ke main uske baare mein charcha karun. Baaki inke baare mein aap mujhse baat mat karo’, said Abhijeet.

The singer was recently in the limelight after he reacted to a fan-made mashup of Dua Lipa’s song Levitating with famous track Woh Ladki Jo from his film Baadshah. He said that the song belongs to the singer first, so he must be named, not the actor. Abhijeet has delivered several hit songs for Shah Rukh Khan including Tumne Jo Maine Dekha from Main Hoon Na, Tauba Tumhare Ishare from Chalte Chalte, Chaand Taare from Yes Boss, and more.
