Vivek Oberoi is on a spree to make interesting revelations about his career. Recently, the actor has been candid best about everything. The Company actor spoke about his movies, being sidelined by the film industry, losing movies, and much more. Amidst all this, Vivek disclosed that he was once offered a movie with Shah Rukh Khan. It is one of SRK’s most loved movies with a dream starcast, which won’t easily happen in a Hindi film anytime soon.
Vivek Oberoi on rejecting a Shah Rukh Khan film
In an interview, Vivek Oberoi revealed that he was offered a film with Shah Rukh Khan, which was helmed by Farah Khan. No, it’s not Main Hoon Na or Happy New Year, but Om Shanti Om. Isn’t it interesting? In an interview, the Saathiya star revealed that it was either-or situation for him because his dates were clashing with Shootout at Lokhandwala. The actor was offered a negative role in OSO as well. Does this mean he was the first choice to play Mukesh Mehra instead of Arjun Kapoor?
Further in this entertainment news, Vivek revealed, “I liked my role (in Shootout at Lokhandwala). Moreover, by the time Farah approached me for the role, I had already started doing my whole research for the character. I had met cops, read his crime files, and started visualising the character. I had already done 4-5 months of prep for that role. Then, at that point, suddenly switching gears and going in a suave suit would have been difficult,” the actor told MensXP.
Vivek Oberoi added that if the situation was different, he would have definitely said yes. If he had time, he would have done Om Shanti Om, as it’s amazing to work with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor recalled the wonderful time he had with SRK while shooting for a few nights for the film Saathiya. “He was so kind to play a guest appearance in the film,” Vivek said.
