Ari Aster’s ‘Eddington’ Adds Four To Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Ari Aster‘s new A24 film Eddington has rounded out its cast with four additions: William Belleau (Killers of the Flower Moon), Cameron Mann (Mare of Easttown), Matt Gomez Hidaka (Silo), and Amélie Hoeferle (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes).

The actors join a stacked ensemble led by Joaquin Phoenix, who reteams with Aster and A24 following their collaboration on surreal epic Beau Is Afraid, as previously reported. Additional cast includes Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, Luke Grimes, Austin Butler, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr.

While the film’s plot is being guarded, it’s been discussed as a Western. Aster is directing from his own script and producing alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner. Production on the film kicked off earlier this month.

Most recently seen playing Henry Roan, the first husband of Lily Gladstone’s Mollie, in Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-nominated crime epic Killers of the Flower Moon, Belleau’s prior film credits include the Searchlight horror Fresh, Netflix’s Sandra Bullock drama The Unforgivable, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, to name a few. Additionally, he’s been seen on series like Echo, The English, Home Before Dark, Van Helsing, and Frontier.

Mann starred alongside Kate Winslet, Julianne Nicholson, Joe Tippett and more on HBO’s acclaimed miniseries Mare of Easttown, and was also seen recurring on ABC’s For Life. Additional credits include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, New Amsterdam, and Daredevil.

Recently recurring alongside Tim Robbins, David Oyelowo, and Rebecca Ferguson on Apple TV+’s Silo, Hidaka’s upcoming work includes the indie Wilderness, directed by Spencer King, which has him starring opposite Hunter Doohan. Additionally, he starred opposite Alfred Molina in a Pasadena Playhouse production of Inherit the Wind.

Hoeferle has thus far been seen in Blumhouse and Atomic Monster’s Uni horror Night Swim and Lionsgate prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

Belleau is repped by Innovative Artists, Premiere Talent Management, and Skrzyniarz & Mallean; Mann by Innovative Artists, Edge Entertainment Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Hidaka by SMS Talent and Luber Roklin Entertainment; and Hoeferle by Gersh, Affirmative Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
