EXCLUSIVE: Vice President Kamala Harris is heading back to late-night.
Deadline understands that Harris will appear as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday April 16.
It is her latest appearance on the ABC show; Harris previously appeared on Kimmel’s show in March 2019, when she was running for top office.
During that appearance, she talked about the campaign trail, said “age is more than a chronological fact” when asked whether Biden or Senator Bernie Sanders were too old to run for President, and noted that she was “open to the discussion” of getting rid of the Electoral college.
Kimmel has previously defended Vice President Harris’ low approval ratings, blaming “sexism and racism”.
Last year, Harris appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and in 2022 made her first late-night appearance since becoming VP on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she talked up her administration’s plans to fight climate change, restore abortion rights and pardon people with federal convictions for marijuana possession.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! is currently in its 22nd season. Broadcasting from the El Capitan Entertainment Centre on Hollywood Boulevard, it is exec produced by Kimmel, Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney, Jennifer Sharron and David Craig. It is produced by 12:05 AM Productions in association with Kimmelot and ABC Signature.
