‘A lot of misinformation and character assassination is going on…’ Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun on stampede case



Pushpa 2: The Rule is getting all the love and appreciation. The film has been getting all the love but there have been many negative stories around it as well. We all know about the Sandhya theatre stampede. A woman lost her life in the stampede and her child is still in the hospital in a serious condition. However, Allu Arjun was blamed for the stampede that happened and a shocking thing happened that he was arrested. His arrest came as a shock. Even the victim’s husband said that Allu Arjun is not responsible for his wife’s demise. But, still the actor had to stay in the jail for a night. Allu Arjun on stampede case

Recently, the Chief Minister of Telangana A. Revanth Reddy spoke about the incident and said that Allu Arjun did not fulfil his commitment to pay Rs 25 lakh compensation to the family. He criticised the film’s team and now Allu Arjun held a press conference addressing all the things being said around the stampede case. The Pushpa 2: The Rule actor expressed regret over whatever happened at the theatre and clarified that the stampede was purely accidental. He shared, “I have been constantly checking on the health of the child every few hours.” He then spoke about media scrutiny and responded to the criticisms from various political figures. He said, “A lot of false things are being said about me, and I am facing character assassination. I appeal to the public to focus on the facts rather than indulging in baseless accusations. For the past 20 years, you all have seen me, and my character has always remained consistent. I have never been involved in any fictional narratives about my family or the success of my films. It deeply saddens me to see these baseless claims being made now.”

He further explained about the video which shows him waving at fans despite the stampede that happened in the theatre. He shared, “The police were clearing the area, which made me think they were managing the situation. I got out of the car just a few meters from the theatre because the vehicle wasn’t moving forward. As is common in such situations, I waved my hand, hoping the fans would get a glimpse of me and move on.”
