His latest film Shaitaan that also stars R Madhavan in a pivotal role is a commercial success. Now, Ajay Devgn has come up an Eid release for fans. His movie Maidaan is going to make it to the theatres on April 11. It was earlier scheduled to release on April 10, however, it has now been pushed by a day. But reviews of the film are out on social media and critics have unanimously given a thumbs up to the sports drama.

Maidaan first movie review
Maidaan is a biographical drama. Ajay Devgn essays the role of Syed Abdul Rahim – who was known as the Father of Modern football in India. The trailer and posters revealed that the film is going to be high on patriotism value and will take the fans back in time. Going by all the reviews on social media, one can derive that Ajay Devgn is the USP of the film. His prolific performance as a football coach is said to be the highlight of Maidaan. Some of them are also calling Maidaan as Ajay Devgn’s career-best so far. The second-half especially is said to be extremely captivating and of course, the climax will leave everyone cheering for team India. AR Rahman’s music has added the depth to the film and director Amit Sharma has managed to get the feel and emotions of the film right. Maidaan with its engaging storyline has only received four plus stars in its review with many stating that it is a must-watch film. It seems that the actor has struck gold with this one.

Maidaan vs Bade Miyan Chote Miyan
With this, it seems that Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan has kickstarted on a positive note. All the good reviews and positive word-of-mouth is crucial as Maidaan is going to clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Both the films are releasing in theatres on April 11. Maidaan does have paid previews though starting from April 10. Both the films have potential do wonders at the box office. All eyes are now on numbers.
