Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan were expected to set the Bollywood box office on fire this Eid. However, the fortunes of the two films have been unexpected so far. There was a slight shift in the date, which caused a lot of confusion. In the paid previews, Maidaan made Rs two crores. It was followed by Rs four crores on the opening day. It seems the day one worldwide was a little over Rs 7 crores. This is quite shocking. Ajay Devgn just delivered a superhit film with Shaitaan also starring R Madhavan and Janki Bodiwala. It made Rs 150 crores. Also, Maidaan got outstanding reviews from critics and those who watched it.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan races ahead in clash with Maidaan
On the other hand, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has made Rs 55 crores plus worldwide in two days. It is way better than Maidaan but still a little less for an Ali Abbas Zafar action film. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s bromance and the superb action sequences have kept the fans entertained. However, the story and lack of emotion is a major let-down. The good news is that both Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan are showing signs of picking up over the weekend in ticket counters.
