Gaurav Khanna talks about his character Anuj
Now, Gaurav Khanna has opened up about his character, Anuj in the show. He spoke to Urban Asian and said that Anuj is always full of surprises and people always want to know what twists will Anuj bring. He shared Anuj is a righteous, straightforward man and he keeps his emotions in check and never shows his vulnerable side to anyone.
Gaurav said that Anuj is now not understanding what to do as he is trying to bridge all the gaps in his life and trying to bring his daughter and ex-wife together. He believes Anuj is a practical person and is overburden by emotions ever since the love of his life, Anupamaa has gone away.
Gaurav feels Anuj is the toughest character he has done
Gaurav feels Anuj is a beautiful character and he feels lucky that Rajan Shahi gave him the role and trusted him with a difficult character. He says that Anuj Kapadia seems simple on surface but it is the most difficult character he has played on-screen ever.
Gaurav further said that television is women driven and getting a male character with so many layers is incredible. He shared that Rajan Shahi trusts him as an actor and very less male actors have got such characters on TV. Gaurav Khanna thanks Rajan Shahi for the opportunity and said that Anuj has become so famous that many TV shows have a character like Anuj.
Gaurav further spoke about why Anupamaa is being loved by the audience. He feels it is a realistic show and it is based on interpersonal relationships of the characters involved in the show. He shared that people love to watching the struggles of the protagonist and how she overcomes all the hardships. People want to see what happens in the real life and they want to see something real.
