The season one finale of NBC‘s Brilliant Minds will air earlier than planned. The season one wrap-up will now air as a special event with back-to-back episodes on Monday, Jan. 6 at 9 and 10 pm ET/PT, NBC announced today. The original season finale date was a week later on Jan. 13.
The drama series is NBC’s No. 1 most-watched new show of the 2024-25 season, reaching 28.6 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms this season to date.
Brilliant Minds, starring Zachary Quinto, hails from writer and executive producer Michael Grassi and director/EP Lee Toland Krieger.
Based on the revolutionary life of queer neurologist Oliver Sacks, it follows Quinto’s Dr. Wolf and a team of interns as they explore the last great frontier – the human mind – while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
In addition to Quinto, cast includes Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears and Donna Murphy.
Grassi serves as writer and executive producer. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Melissa Aouate, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis and Shefali Malhoutra also executive produce.
