The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix has begun and the first episode featured the Kapoors, that is, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Kapil Sharma is back with his OG which consists of some old and some new faces. We saw Sunil Grover rejoining hands with Kapil for Netflix’s show The Great Indian Kapil Show. After the first episode itself and also the promos before it, fans wondered why Alia Bhatt was not a part of the episode.

The Great Indian Kapil Show: Is THIS WHY Alia Bhatt did not feature in the new episode?
As per a report in TimesNow, the original plan of the makers was to invite the whole Kapoor family, that is, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. It is said that Kapil Sharma and the cast offered to adjust their schedule as per her schedule to let the shoot sail smoothly. However, the report claims that the Jigra actress was not willing. The report states that a very close friend of the Kapoor family said that Netflix could not afford Alia Bhatt.
Elaborating on the same, the report claims there’s a substantial amount of budget allocated each week for the guests that will feature on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Despite that, the sum was not enough to afford both Alia and Ranbir, claims the TimesNow report. And that is why, Alia Bhatt allegedly did not appear on The Great Indian Kapil Show with Ranbir, Neetu and Riddhima. One thing has been confirmed apparently, with the report and that is, unlike the previous show where stars made appearances for free to promote their movies, this time they will get paid to feature in the episodes.

Ranbir Kapoor talks about Joota Chupai rasam
Ranbir Kapoor was asked about the Joota Chupai rasam at his wedding. Kapil quizzed him whether he really shelled out crores for the ceremony. Ranbir denied saying that it was not true. Neetu added that they did give some cash to them. Ranbir revealed that they demanded lakhs but he brought them down to a few thousand rupees. When Archana Puran Singh pointed out that the amount was too low, Ranbir defended himself saying that they had a small ceremony at home.
