Anupamaa: Rupali Ganguly has been in constant limelight since she started portraying the role of Anu in the Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey starrer show. Her character has often been hailed to empower women, especially housewives. Hence, few weeks back when Rupali was spotted at the airport touching her husband’s feet, she was severely bashed for doing the same. While trolls stated that there was no need for her to touch her husband’s feet, Rupali, in a recent interview, stated she takes immense pride in that. Did Rupali Ganguly take a sly dig at trolls who targeted her for touching her husband’s feet?

For those unaware, a few weeks ago a video went viral where Rupali was seen at the airport along with her husband and son. What caught everyone’s attention is when Rupali was touching her husband Ashwin’s feet to take his blessings. While a section of the audience felt it’s good that she is following the old traditions, many bashed her for still keeping her husband superior by touching his feet. Some even stated that what was the need to touch her husband’s feet, that too publicly. While Rupali didn’t speak anything about the criticism, recently in an interview with Telly Talk India, she did take a sly dig at all the trolls. Speaking about how her husband deserves the credit for her success, Rupali stated that her husband is so financially stable that there’s no need for her to work. Despite that, her husband, Ashwin, has always pushed her to work and earn a name for herself. She further mentioned that she always touches her husband’s feet before leaving her house as she believes her husband is the head of the family and it’s the right thing to do. In fact, Rupali stated that even when she and her husband fight, the next morning she never forgets to touch his feet before leaving for work.

Well, although Rupali did not address the trolls directly, her above statement clearly indicated that she is least bothered about the trolls and will continue to do what she feels is right.
