EXCLUSIVE: Dirk Hoogstra is getting the band back together at Lionsgate.
Hoogstra, who is now leading the eOne U.S. label at Lionsgate Alternative Television, is bringing over a number of his former Half Yard Productions colleagues.
Nicole Sorrenti, who was Chief Creative Officer at the Say Yes To The Dress producer, left the company, which is owned by Peter Chernin’s The North Road Company, at the same time as Hoogstra last year.
She now serves as EVP, Development, eOne U.S. In addition to TLC’s wedding series, she has produced series including Secrets & Sisterhood: The Sozahdahs for Hulu, and I Just Killed My Dad for Netflix.
San Heng joins the company as SVP, Development, eOne U.S. The showrunner has worked on series including RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Real Housewives and Little Women: LA. She recently wrapped on Chrissy & Dave Dine Out and the upcoming docuseries Wayne Brady: The Family Remix.
Finally, Brittany George joins as Executive Director, Development, eOne U.S. She also joins from Half Yard and has worked on series including Secrets and Sisterhood and TLC’s Dragnificent and Drag Me Down the Aisle. She previously worked with Leftfield Pictures, ITV America and Alkemy X.
The trio will report to Hoogstra. Lionsgate Alternative Television, which also operates companies including Pilgrim Media Group, Blackfin, Renegade and Daisybeck Studios in addition to the eOne assets is behind series including Naked and Afraid, Street Outlaws, Wicked Tuna and Ex on the Beach.
