Priyanka Chopra reveals how she became a part of Krrish
At Red Sea International Film Festival, Priyanka Chopra recalled how she came on board Krrish. She shared that she was at a funeral when Rakesh Roshan spotted her. She was dressed in a simple salwar kameez. The filmmaker was struck by her authenticity and asked directors Abbas-Mustan to show him the glimpses of their upcoming film that featured Priyanka. She was shooting for Aitraaz then and Rakesh Roshan wanted to see the footage. The actress accepted that she was terrified as Priya’s look in Krrish was much different than what she played in Aitraaz. She recalled, “I was terrified that I would never get the role because the Priya in Krrish was super innocent, just not worldly, and had belief in the goodness of people, kind of person, and Sonia in Aitraaz was the complete opposite—she would eat you alive.”
So why did Rakesh Roshan cast Priyanka? The actress revealed that the filmmaker told her that he wasn’t looking at the charact she was playing in Aitraaz but at how authentic she looked in the scenes.
Recently, in one of the interviews, Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra revealed how Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan helped the family when actress’ father was critically ill and her quote became headlines in entertainment news. She revealed that they had to get Ashok Chopra to Boston for treatment and Rakesh Roshan-Hrithik Roshan made the arrangements of flight for his travel. None of the airlines were willing to take Ashok Chopra given that he was critically ill but Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan came to rescue.
