First Lady Jill Biden To Make Another Fundraising Swing To Southern California With Palm Springs Area, Los Angeles Events

First Lady Jill Biden will make a fundraising swing through Southern California later this week, as she headlines events in Los Angeles and the Palm Springs area. She also will speak at the Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles dinner on Saturday.

The first lady will speak at a campaign fundraising reception on Friday early evening, with a list of co-hosts that include attorney Daniel McLoon and Dr. Patricia Gordon, marketing executive Jonathan Mildenhall and HR executive Mirco Gros, Xenco Medical CEO Jason Haider, the Capital Group’s Wesley Phoa and Margaret Morgan, and John and Gill Wagner, according to the invite. Tickets are priced at $10,000, including a photo, rising to $100,000, including a dinner reception and photo.

On Saturday, Biden will headline a reception in Palm Springs, with James Costos, the former U.S. ambassador to Spain, and designer Michael Smith as co-hosts, according to an invite. In December, Costos and Smith hosted the president and first lady for their first Los Angeles fundraiser of their reelection campaign.

Also co-hosting are former Sen. Barbara Boxer and Stewart Boxer, Barry Manilow and Garry Kief, Josh.ai founder Alex Capecelatro, Bob and Jane Clark, Chad Griffin and Charlie Joughin, Martha Harsh, Scott Murray and Mihail Lari, Judd and Katherine Malkin, former U.S. ambassador to Argentina Noah Mamet and Alexa Fix, Dr. Bobby Pourziaee and Yale Scott, former prosecutor and congressional candidate Will Rollins and Yale Scott, Dawn Ross and Wendy Schmidt. Tickets at the $1,000 level are sold out, but are priced at $2,500 for the next level. Those who write or raise $100,000 will be listed as hosts, which includes a clutch, photoline and national finance committee membership.

Proceeds for both events go to the Biden Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties.

Biden will then return to Los Angeles for the HRC dinner.

On Monday, the first lady will take part in an event that is part of the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research.
