Instagram is down. I repeat, Instagram is down for thousands of users on Thursday, according to an outage tracking website.

DownDetector.com, a site that monitors online disruptions, is reporting thousands of complaints with the app across the U.S. That comes after millions were locked out of their accounts on Wednesday.

The cause of the disruptions has not been revealed. Earlier in March, the platform was knocked offline by what was described as an internal issue. Instagram is owned by Meta Inc.

Today’s outages began around 4 PM Pacific time. The service appeared to be back up by 7 PM Pacific for at least some users.
