Lisa Kudrow is reflecting on her time on Friends and opening up about the scene that made her cry.
The No Good Deed star said that she hadn’t watched many of the episodes of the hit NBC sitcom but recently started watching it.
“God forbid, if anyone walked into my house and saw me watching my show, I’d be mortified,” Kudrow said on the Dinner’s On Me podcast. “There’s episodes I’ve never seen. I mean I was at the table read. I don’t know what the rewrites were for the other stories, you know?”
She continued, “There are episodes I just never saw, and still haven’t because I’m still deciding how to work my way through it. It’s like there’s a certain amount of anxiety around watching it.”
Kudrow revealed that one of the scenes that touched her was when her character Phoebe Buffay marries Paul Rudd’s Mike in a Season 10 episode.
“When Phoebe got married, and she’s walking down the aisle and has this huge smile on her face, I teared up because she was so happy,” Kudrow said. “She was so just, like, honestly happy, and it was just — I don’t know. It was really touching to me. Like, she deserves to be this happy.”
Kudrow played Phoebe throughout the show’s 10-season run. The Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion star also gave life to Phoebe’s twin sister Ursula, a recurring character first featured on the sitcom Mad About You. Kudrow won an Emmy for her role in 1998 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
