Kate Middleton Joins King Charles, Prince William At Christmas Church

Kate Middleton delighted onlookers, joining other members of the British Royal Family for the annual Christmas morning walk to and from their church service at Sandringham, in Norfolk.

Kate was accompanied by her husband Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, as they joined King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Members of the public had been waiting since yesterday evening to greet the royals, keen to show their support after what has been a trying year for the family, with Charles announcing that he was undergoing treatment for cancer, and Kate revealing that she was having chemotherapy.

Charles will address the nation in his annual television speech, scheduled for 3pm Christmas Day.

Although his medical treatment has been confirmed as ongoing into 2025, Charles has been seen in public regularly in the past few months, including embarking on a tour to New Zealand and Australia. Kate has been seen more intermittently in 2024, including at the Wimbledon Mens’s Singles Final in July, and at Remembrance Day services last month. However, she and her husband skipped the traditional Christmas lunch for royal family and their staff a fortnight ago.

She hosted a carol service which was filmed at the beginning of December, in which she reflected on her challenging year, and spoke of the importance of empathy.

King Charles’ beleaguered brother Andrew was absent, having been excused from the family’s Christmas following recent revelations that he had befriended a Chinese diplomat who was later named as a spy (a claim the man denies).
