Kristen Bell Set As SAG Awards Host In 2025

SAG Awards organizers said Monday that Nobody Wants This star Kristen Bell will host the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which are set for February 23 in Los Angeles and streaming live on Netflix.

Bell previously hosted the SAG Awards in 2018. Eugene Levy and Daniel Levy co-hosted this year’s ceremony, when SAG-AFTRA honored Oppenheimer with its marquee Cast category on its way to the Best Picture Oscar, while Succession and The Bear were tops in TV.

“Thrilled to be hosting the SAG Awards again this year,” said Bell in a press release today. “I’m honored to be asked back and can’t wait to share the evening with my fellow actors, doing what we do best … celebrating ourselves.”

Frozen and The Good Place star Bell currently co-stars with Adam Brody in Netflix’s rom-com series Nobody Wants This, which became one of the streamer’s strongest launches ever for an original comedy when it premiered in September. It hit No. 1 in its first full week, garnering 26.2 million views in its first 11 days of release, and was renewed for a second season in October. Bell and Brody were both nominated for Golden Globes and Critics Choice awards.

Nomination for the SAG Awards are set for January 8, with winners to be announced during the ceremony live on Netflix on February 23 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall. As already announced, Jane Fonda will receive the career SAG Life Achievement Award honor.

Silent House Productions is producer, with Jon Brockett executive producing along with Silent House’s Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn.
