Kunwar Amar talks about the tough phase of his life
In an interview with Etimes, Kunwar Amar stated that for almost 6 years he worked constantly. He got good name and fame through Dil Dosti Dance. However, later he wanted to venture into films and OTT. He added that it got difficult for him as he was only being offered dance-related shows. Then there was a time when he had no job for almost two years. Kunwar Amar said that he was in a hand-to-mouth situation and he stopped going out as Mumbai is an expensive city. He said that he had no work and no money; he went into a shell. Talking about being judged, he stated that if an actor does not wear brands, people comment that now that he has no job, he has no money. There is a pressure of maintaining the social status.

Kunwar Amar did not lose hope. The actor said that he knew that he will be able to make a good comeback and he did with Anupamaa. He said he wanted to do something impactful and he also rejected a few roles because the same. He said that he gets to portray himself in Anupamaa and that there is a recall value. Tapish is not related to anybody in the show.
