The Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, will lead off Netflix‘s NFL Christmas Game Day on Dec. 25 with a taped performance of her record-breaking single “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
Carey will kick off the action ahead of two marquee games – the reigning Super Bowl champ Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 pm ET. That will be followed by the Baltimore Ravens versus the Houston Texans at 4:30 PM ET. In keeping with the NFL’s long-standing holiday tradition, the Netflix Christmas Day games will air on broadcast TV in the competing team cities (CBS affiliates in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Houston) and be available on U.S. mobile devices with NFL+.
This year, Carey celebrates the 30th anniversary of her album Merry Christmas and its single “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. The iconic song has officially been certified 16x Platinum by the RIAA, making it the highest-certified single ever by a female artist.
Earlier this year, Netflix and NFL inked a three-year deal which included rights to the NFL Christmas Day doubleheader. Under the deal, Netfix will air at least one holiday game in 2025 and 2026.
