EXCLUSIVE: Mark Tallman (First Wives Club, Law & Order: SVU), Hoon Lee (Warrior, Banshee) and Tony winner and Grammy nominee Lena Hall (Snowpiercer, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) are set as series regulars opposite Jon Hamm in Your Friends and Neighbors, Apple TV+’s upcoming drama series from Warrior creator Jonathan Tropper and Apple Studios. Craig Gillespie (Physical) is set to direct the first two episodes and executive produce. Additionally, Emmy winners Greg Yaitanes (Presumed Innocent, House of the Dragon) and Stephanie Laing (Palm Royale, Physical) are set to direct two episodes each. The project reunites Lee and Tropper who worked together on Max’s Warrior.
Based on an original idea by Tropper, Your Friends and Neighbors stars Hamm as Coop, a recently divorced hedge fund manager who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family’s lifestyle afloat. These petty crimes begin to reinvigorate him until he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.
The ensemble cast also includes Olivia Munn and Amanda Peet. Roles are being kept under wraps.
Tropper, who served as showrunner for Apple’s See and has an overall deal with the streamer, created Your Friends and Neighbors and will serve as showrunner. He will exec produce alongside Hamm, Gillespe and Connie Tavel. Laing is repped by CAA ,Artists First and Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox Rosenberg & Light.
