Bandish Bandits Season 2 Exclusive

BollywoodLife got in a candid conversation with the cast of Bandish Bandits Season 2. We asked actors Atul Kulkarni, Sheeba Chaddha, Ritwik Bhowmik, and others about working on the new season. When asked what brief they were given while working on the new season, Kunaal Roy Kapur joked that they were told not to mess it up.

Atul Kulkarni said that season 2 is wonderful in itself, and Naseeruddin Shah said it is better than the first one. “I think the entire credit goes to the writing of it. So all the characters are there, plus there are new characters and new and excellent music,” said the Natrang actor. Ritwik responded, “The brief given to be was to pull up the socks. We dived into season 2 with the energy that we got to be better and put our best forward.”

Sheeba Chaddha shared how every person’s character has flowered in Bandish Bandits Season 2. “I remember when we were shooting the songs, I used to go back home, and the songs were really playing in my head. I think the music is truly wonderful this season. It has really opened up, and it is not just classical this time. The exploration and the fusion are beautiful this time. All of us got to work with more complexities with our characters,” shared the actress.

Further in this entertainment news, we asked the cast about the challenges of shooting for season 2, which is lip-syncing perfectly. The cast agreed that lip-syncing to the songs is indeed challenging. Atul Kulkarni said it is not as easy as it looks on screen. Sheeba answered, “It is one of the most challenging things to do. The apprehension was only this, at least for me. Rest, I think, you are with the character.”

Rajesh Tailang also stated that it is challenging, even though others had to lip-sync a lot more than he did. “This time, I got to lip-sync a bit and I realised it’s show tough; I should quit acting (laughs).” Ritwik, who has been singing on the show since the first episode, responded, “Definitely, as everyone said, it’s a task. As Atul sir mentioned, it’s a craft something you keep practicing, and people say practice makes perfect. Let’s just say that we’re almost perfect because we have been practicing. Thank you for saying that it looks like real singing.”
