The buzz around the movie without being officially announced is quite high. Ranbir Kapoor, meanwhile is said to be working on his physique and prepping for his role as Lord Ram. And now, there is another interesting update on the highly discussed movie, Ramayana. An actress who is known for her work in films and loads of TV shows has joined the cast of Ramayana, as per reports.

THIS TV actress roped in to play Ranbir Kapoor’s mother in Ramayana
The actress’ name that has surfaced is known for work in TV shows such as Kesar, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Doli Saja Ke Waaris, Krishnadasi, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Saavi Ki Savaari. She is presently working on a TV show called Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare. Interestingly, this seasoned actress was also a part of Ranbir Kapoor starrer blockbuster movie, Animal. Now, if you haven’t guessed it yet, let us tell you all. It is none other than Indira Krishnan. A report in ETimes quotes a source saying that the makers got Indira Krishnan to play the role of Lord Ram’s mother, Kausalya.
Indira played Rashmika Mandanna essayed Geetanjali’s mother in Animal. Indira’s professionalism and good rapport with the cast seem to have reached the ears of the makers. In fact, Ranbir Kapoor was so impressed by her that it was he who suggested her name to the makers, states the report in the entertainment news portal. Just a couple of hours ago, Indira Krishnan also shared a picture with Ranbir Kapoor on her Instagram handle.

Nitesh Tiwari and his team working on Ramayana have remained tight-lipped about everything. It is believed that the movie will be made in two parts. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi has joined the cast as Sita while it is being said that Yash will play Raavan. Other than them, the names of Arun Govil, Naveen Polishetty, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol have surfaced for various characters such as Dashrath, Laxman, Hanuman, Kumbhkaran and more. Oscar-winning VFX team, DNEG has been roped in for the movie. Recently, pictures of Ranbir doing a headstand and learning archery went viral. He is also reportedly going through diction and dialogue training for Ramayana.
