Job Title : Solution Architect - Data Governance
Location: Plano, TX ( Onsite )
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Job Description :
We are seeking a Data Governance Lead to oversee and support data governance practices across the organization. This role will be instrumental in establishing best practices for data governance, collaborating with stakeholders to define and document data requirements, and ensuring data quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will help drive data governance initiatives and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement policies, processes, and tools.

Key Responsibilities :

• Data Governance Strategy & Implementation :
  Coordinate data analytics efforts on new requirements, priorities, and deliverables. Establish and implement best practices across the organization for data governance, covering processes, roles, policies, and tools.
• Collaboration & Documentation :
  Collaborate with stakeholders from various disciplines to translate data requirements into clear, easily understood documents, including data glossaries, dictionaries, policies, and data flows.
• Data Governance Process Facilitation :
  Support and orchestrate data governance teams to set priorities and implement data governance practices. Drive discussions to help establish and refine data policies.
• Scaling & Empowering Data Governance Teams :
  Work with data governance teams to scale initiatives across the entire business and empower teams to become self-sufficient in data governance.
• Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization :
  Identify strengths and weaknesses in the data governance organization and recommend improvements. Facilitate processes to resolve transversal, cross-business data governance issues.
• Business & IT Collaboration :
  Help establish seamless processes between business and IT to implement data governance solutions effectively.
• Data Governance Tool Management :
  Lead initiatives related to data governance tools (e.g., MDM, metadata management, data quality reporting), ensuring they are effectively integrated into governance practices.
• Data Quality Management :
  Measure and monitor data quality across the organization. Define, drive, and prioritize data quality remediation plans to ensure accurate and reliable data.

Qualifications :

• Experience Requirements :
  • 8+ years of experience in data governance, data analytics, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in setting up and implementing data governance practices, policies, and tools across an organization.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders from various disciplines.
  • Experience in working with data governance tools, such as MDM, metadata management, and data quality reporting platforms.
