The Claims team within our Atlanta Operations has a great opportunity for you! When you join FM as a Property Claims Adjuster, you can bring your talents to life and learn how we help clients when they need us the most – following a loss when they have property damage and potential interruption to their business.
The adjuster investigates, resolves, and settles property damage claims within their assigned authority in an equitable manner to the satisfaction of the client and FM in accordance with policy terms and conditions. They provide direction and assistance to the client with loss mitigation, salvage, restoration of production, claims preparation and subrogation. In addition, retains, manages, and controls internal and external consultants, as needed. An engineering degree is required due to the technical nature of our losses. Project management and technical assessment of critical path is often needed on losses.
Depending on the experience level, the incumbent is assigned losses, including Property Damage and Business Interruption losses up to $1,000,000, as the first adjuster within the FM Atlanta Claims Operations geographical area, or as otherwise directed by the Operations Claims Manager.
The position is office based with required field work. The candidate must be willing to travel, sometimes with short notice, and work out of town as needed to effectively manage assigned losses.
Education
Bachelor’s degree is preferred however equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience
2 or more years of commercial and industrial claims experience.
Skills and competencies
We are considering entry and mid-level candidates for this role. The range is $78,500, - $127,100. These ranges are representative of the hiring salary for the role. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM’s comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, generous health and well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, time off allowances and much more.
