Mail Inserter Operator

As a Mail Inserter Operator, you will play a key role in the production process, ensuring that mail pieces are accurately inserted into envelopes using a Mail Inserter Machine. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Mail Inserter Operator Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation and Setup: Set up and adjust the inserter machine for optimal efficiency, performing routine maintenance like cleaning and lubricating as needed.
• Job Instructions and Material Handling: Read and follow job specifications to ensure accurate assembly, using the correct materials such as paper types and envelopes for each mailing project.
• Verification and Quality Control: Double-check the number of items being processed to ensure accuracy, ensuring mailings match the job order and confirming the proper sequence of documents. Identify and resolve any discrepancies, proactively flagging potential issues to maintain high-quality standards.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment while ensuring processes comply with industry regulations.

Mail Inserter Operator Team Environment:

• Collaborate with fellow team members to meet production goals.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement through feedback and skill development.
• Participate in cross-training to expand your skill set and contribute to different areas of the facility.

Mail Inserter Operator - What You Must Have:

• Communication Skills: Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Attention to Detail: Good vision for accurate task completion.
• Overtime Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, to meet production deadlines.

Mail Inserter Operator Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking using scanner.
• Experience: Previous experience operating a Mail Inserter Machine in a fast-paced production environment is a plus.
• Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude toward resolving issues.
