Are you enthusiastic about supporting early learning? Wonderspring is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our new site at Smith Memorial Playground, dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for children. In this role, you'll assist in delivering lessons following the Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards, help maintain best practices in education and health, and support the assessment of student progress. Work alongside experienced teachers and parents to enhance each child's educational journey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing approved curriculum-based lesson plans.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children, be alert to the needs of children as individuals and as a group.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude with children, parents, co-workers, and administrators.
- Teach children how to use acceptable alternatives to challenging behaviors to reduce conflict by using provided techniques such as FLIP IT and Second Step.
- Observe children in the program throughout the year by recording observations, anecdotes, checklists, and other methods.
- Assess children’s progress, routines, and interests, and keep parents informed.
Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
- At least two years' experience in early childcare education (2,500 verified hours) .
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents/guardians.
- Ability to maintain high level standards of confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
- Understanding of DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
- Proficient in managing a multicultural classroom environment.
