Environmental QA/QC Manager

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement the program’s Quality System
• Lead the preparation and review of Uniform Federal Policy Quality Assurance Project Plans (UFP-QAPPs) for all projects
• Perform final reviews of project deliverables, data packages, work plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Provide laboratory oversight for National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) accreditation, including reviewing PT sample results, demonstrations of capability (DOCs), and laboratory methods and procedures
• Oversee data management and validation in accordance with EPA guidelines on environmental data verification and validation
• Maintain and manage the laboratory Performance Evaluation (PE) sample program

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field
• 10-15 years of experience in QA/QC roles
• Familiarity with U.S. EPA data validation guidelines and environmental analytical methods
• Ability to follow SOPs and perform mathematical calculations
• Medical certification or ability to obtain one
• Authorization to work in the U.S., with eligibility for state and federal security clearances
