Job Description

This role is responsible for the financial activities related to all development projects, including pre-development, construction, and post-construction phases. The position involves close coordination with Project Managers, financial reconciliation, budget management, and ensuring compliance with HUD and lender requirements. The successful candidate will track expenses, manage project budgets, and handle pay applications, audits, and lender communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Construction and Development teams to track and reconcile project expenses.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HUD capital expenses and budget limits.
  • Manage financial closing processes, including setting up budgets in Yardi Job Cost.
  • Process and review purchase orders, pay applications, and contractor payments.
  • Prepare and manage journal entries, cash flow forecasts, and monthly financial reports.
  • Work with external auditors and ensure accurate documentation for cost certifications.
  • Ensure timely submission of closing documents, lender communications, and compliance with equity requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in multifamily real estate or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel and project management tools, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with financial reconciliation, budgets, and development projects.
