Sr. IT Support Specialist 

***Remote position but will be required to travel to facilities as needed. 

The Sr. IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise in support of BayMark’s infrastructure and computing environments across various technologies, such as desktops, servers, virtualization, networks, and remote connectivity. Maintains and/or assist in the preparation of reports, surveys, inventories, verifications, and other special assignments. Travel by plane or automobile as necessary.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provides expert technical hardware/software computer support by phone, e-mail, and in person.
  • Responds to desktop, server, phone, and general system technical issues.
  • Configures and sets up new PC/Laptop hardware.
  • Manages and maintains systems as assigned.
  • Ensures and tracks that company assets are maintained responsibly.
  • Assists in the management of enterprise data protection efforts to support disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Assists with the administration and installation of the company's infrastructure as needed.
  • Assists with maintaining the company's telephone system.
  • Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others.
  • Must be present during working hours at the office for in person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.
  • Stays abreast of IT trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.  
  • Perform other specific projects relating to IT operations as needed.
  • Participate in department meetings and other related activities as needed.
  • Support Programs by responding promptly and accurately to inquiries.
  • Remain composed in a stressful environment and deal with frequent deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Follow instructions and use critical thinking skills to make decisions.
  • Comply with internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with BayMark policies and procedures, Compliance Policy and Code of Ethics.
  • Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Regular attendance is to be maintained.
  • Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the Company’s mission.
  • Conduct special projects as assigned.
  • Provide after hours on-call support as assigned by the IT Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum Five years’ experience working with enterprise IT systems management and/or BS Information Technology with industry certifications: A+, MCP, MCSA, MCTS.
  • Five plus years’ experience in Help Desk support primarily in a Windows environment supporting end users required.  
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Desktops and MS Office.
  • Windows Server, Exchange, and Virtualization experience required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in conjunction with training skills.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, policy compliance, and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.  
  • Excellent customer service skills required, candidate must be capable of working with minimal supervision and demonstrate superior team skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, growing company environment that has a wide range of possible daily activities and demanding users.
  • Self-starter who can function independently and handle multiple priorities on a day to day basis.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
