Job Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Service Professional to join our dynamic team at Toska Restaurant and Brewery. As a Service Professional, you will play a key role in creating exceptional experiences for our guests, ensuring they enjoy not only our food and beverages but also the ambiance and service that make our establishment unique. You will be the bridge between the kitchen, brewery, and our patrons, offering outstanding service and knowledge about our menu offerings, including craft beers brewed on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to all guests by greeting them warmly, assisting with menu choices, and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish.
• Menu Knowledge: Demonstrate deep knowledge of our food menu and craft beer selections, including offering beer pairings and explaining brewing processes when necessary.
• Order Management: Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring they are entered correctly into the POS system. Ensure the timely delivery of food and drinks to guests.
• Brewery Knowledge: Be well-versed in the brewery’s offerings, including any seasonal or specialty brews, to inform and engage customers about our unique beverages.
• Upselling and Recommendations: Suggest food and drink pairings, recommend specials, and promote upsells (e.g., appetizers, desserts, or premium beer options) to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Customer Interaction: Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized service area, including tables, counters, and any other designated customer-facing spaces.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with kitchen, brewery, and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow, timely deliveries, and communication.
• Cash Handling: Process payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments. Provide receipts and change as necessary.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all local health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and responsible alcohol service.
• Problem Resolution: Address any customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant, bar, or brewery setting, is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge: A passion for craft beer and the restaurant industry is a plus. Willingness to learn about different beer styles, food pairings, and brewing techniques.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays of food and beverages for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to [X] pounds.
• Team-Oriented: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with other team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
