Description of the role: Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego, a leading national tutoring company, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor for High School English. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to high school students in improving their essay writing and reading comprehension skills. This is a part-time position that offers competitive compensation and great opportunities for personal and professional growth. Responsibilities:

• Work with the student's homework, tests and quizzes to help them reach their goals
• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in-home with flexibility to schedule based around the student's activities
• Help students improve their reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary

Requirements:

• 3rd or 4th year college students with goal to earn a bachelor's degree in English or related field preferred
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience
• Excellent command of the English language
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for education and helping students succeed
• Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment
