Panchayat season 3 on OTT: Jitendra Kumar aka Abhishek to lose his position in Phulera as old character re-enters?



Finally, the day is here! BollywoodLife Awards 2024 is now live. It remained to be a spectacular year will lots of drama and thrill unfolding in the world of showbiz. Some of the best films made it to the theatres over the last year. To felicitate all the good work, the annual BollywoodLife awards took place through a glitzy digital ceremony. Rithvik Dhanjani turned the host for the evening. Some of the biggest names from the industry, films, web series and more received nominations in major categories and some won. Here’s looking at the big winners of OTT category.

Breakthrough Performance of the Year

Mona Singh won the award for her role in Made In Heaven 2. Apart from her, the other chosen nominated stars were Mohit Raina for Mumbai Diaries 26/11, Sushmita Sen for Taali, Gulshan Devaiah for Guns & Gulaabs, and Vijay Varma for Dahaad.

Best Supporting Actor

Barun Sobti won the award for Netflix’s series Kohrra. He was nominated along with Anil Kapoor for The Night Manager, Adarsh Gourav for Guns & Gulaabs, Babil Khan for The Railway Men, Siddhanth Gupta for Jubilee and Harman Baweja for Scoop.

Performer of the Year

Sushmita Sen shined in this category and won the Performer of the Year award for her performance in Taali and Aarya 3. The best Performer of the Year Male award is won by Vijay Varma. The nominations were Mohit Raina for Mumbai Diaries 26/11, Sushmita Sen for Taali, Gulshan Devaiah for Guns & Gulaabs, and Vijay Varma for Dahaad.

Best Actor in Negative Role

Abhishek Banerjee won the award in this category for Apurva. The series is on Disney+Hotstar.

Best Director for Hindi Web Series

Hansal Mehta won the award for his web series Scoop. He was in contention with other filmmakers like Raj & DK for Guns & Gulaabs and Farzi, Konkona Sen Sharma for Lust Stories 2, Vikramaditya Motwane for Jubilee and Vishal Bhardwaj for Khufiya.

Best Youth Oriented Show/Film

Campus Beats managed to beat The Archies, School of Lies, Adhura, Class, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan to win in this category.

Most Popular Web Series

Jubilee, Guns & Gulaabs, The Railway Men, Farzi, The Night Manager, Scoop, The Freelancer received nominations in this category. Kay Kay Menon, R Madhavan and Divyendu starrer The Railway Men based on the Bhopal Gas tragedy won the award.

Best Hindi Film

And the award goes to Shahid Kapoor’s movie Bloody Daddy. Other films like Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, Lost, The Archies, Mission Majnu, Gulmohar and Apurva received nominations.

Best Actor Hindi

Nawazuddin Siddiqui won the award for his phenomenal performance in Haddi. Shahid Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others were nominated for the award.

Best Actor Hindi – Web series

Gulshan Devaiah has been awarded the trophy for his performance in Guns & Gulaabs. Shahid Kapoor for Farzi, Aparshakti Khurana for Jubilee, Abhay Deol for Trial By Fire, Kay Kay Menon for The Railway Men, Rajkummar Rao for Guns & Gulaabs bagged nominations.

Best Actress Hindi – Web-Series

Wamiqa Gabbi for Jubilee and Sobhita Dhulipala for Made In Heaven 2 share this award. Tabu for Khufiya, Kajol for The Trial, Dimple Kapadia for Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo were among the nominated ones.

For BollywoodLife Awards 2024, celeb jury consisted of big names like Seema Pahwa, filmmaker Ram Madhvani, actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya, writer-director Palki Malhotra and film producer Anand Pandit. Atlee, Rajkumar Hirani, Mrunal Thakur, Sidharth Malhotra and Ananya Panday also shared some insights into the world of showbiz with the special masterclasses.
