Sharmin Segal is Alamzeb. The story in the red light district of Heera Mandi that is Lahore. The series captures the lives of women from the red-light district in the pre-Independence era. The trailer is nothing short of a visual treat with grand sets and gorgeous looking women. But what is powerful is the dialogue delivery of all the leading ladies. Lines like ‘Heeramandi mein Angrezon ka nahi… Mallikajan ka sikka chalta hai!’ are quite impactful. Sonakshi Sinha as Fareedan shines the brightest in the series. The story is about the war between Mallikajaan and Fardeena for the ultimate title.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is going to release on Netflix on May 1. As per reports, the web series is going to have eight long episodes. The web series is co-directed by Mitakshara Kumar. Heeramandi also stars Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Adhayan Suman and others. Unlike other web series, this one is going to have songs and dance too!
