Speculations also suggest that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Shehzada Dhami whose contract was recently terminated by producer Rajan Shahi from the Samridhii Shukla starrer show, might join the cast as the male protagonist. Sumbul Touqeer REACTS on working with Shehzada Dhami in Ekta Kapoor’s series

The buzz around Sumbul Touqeer bagging the role in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 7 began when photos of the actress dressed as a Naagin went viral on social media. Sumbul recently sported the Naagin avatar for her current TV show Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. Following the viral look, speculations arose that she had been approached by the makers of Naagin 7 to play the lead role in the seventh season. Coincidentally, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Shehzada Dhami, is also rumoured to be paired opposite the actress in Naagin 7. Breaking her silence on the matter, Sumbul Touqeer addressed the ongoing speculation. Speaking to Telly Masala, Sumbul stated that she had heard the news from a reporter who visited the sets of Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon for an interview. She mentioned that she had no idea where these rumours originated from. The actress mentioned that whenever she hears news of doing another show she is suprsied to say the least. Furthermore, the actress recalled a day when her father called her to inquire if she had given any statement to the media about being cast in Naagin 7. Sumbul clarified that she is currently committed to Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon and has no knowledge of how such rumours are circulating.

While Sumbul indirectly indicated that she is not currently part of Naagin 7, there remains a possibility that she may consider the role in the future. It is speculated that Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon will soon conclude within a few months. Once Sumbul wraps up her current show, she may contemplate signing another project, and Naagin 7 could certainly be on her radar.
