Several Bollywood actresses started their careers with flops and later became superstars. This actress rose to fame and grabbed everyone attention with her charming aura. But, unfortunately, the actress’ temper led to her downfall. Farah Naaz is the sister of Bollywood actress Tabu who rose to stardom early in her career.
Farah was one of the leading Bollywood actresses of the 80s and 90s. She made her debut in Yash Chopra’s Faasle opposite Rohan Kapoor. The film failed miserably at the box office, but Farah’s performance received appreciation. She was later seen in films like Marte Dam Tak, Naseeb Apna Apna, Love 86, Rakhwala, Imaandaar, Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Diljalaa, and Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri among others. She worked with Rajesh Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Govinda, Vinod Khanna, Sunny Deol and more.
She gained a lot of popularity but her stardom could not withstand the test of time. As per reports, during the shooting of Kasam Vardi Ki, Chunky Panday cracked a joke on Farah, which was not taken well by her. She slapped Chunky and also threatened to kill him in a magazine interview. If reports are to be believed then, Farah once threatened Anil Kapoor, when he wanted to replace her with Madhuri Dixit in a film. Farah got to know about the same and slammed Anil publicly as she threatened to beat him. She did not spare Madhuri Dixit and the actress walked out of the film.
Farah got married to Vindu Dara Singh, son of wrester-turned-actor Dara Singh. Their marriage failed and later the actress married Indian film producer Sumeet Saigal. The two are parents to a son and are settled. Farah’s sister Tabu is a leading lady in Bollywood.
