Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: The television show starring Samridhii Shukla underwent a major transformation when Rajan Shahi and his team issued an official statement weeks ago, announcing the termination of the contracts of Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe. Actors Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani replaced Shehzada and Pratiksha as Armaan and Ruhi, respectively. While the production team stated that Pratiksha wasn’t able to meet the character requirements, Shehzada was accused of unprofessionalism. Now, actress Niyati Joshi, who portrays the role of Swarna in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has acknowledged that Shehzada did have attitude issues on the set.

Niyati Joshi aka Swarna shares Shehzada Dhami had ego issues
In an interview with Telly Masala, Niyati Joshi revealed that while Pratiksha Honmukhe is a sweet girl, Shehzada Dhami did indeed have ego and attitude issues. Reacting to Pratiksha and Shehzada’s termination, Niyati stated that she somewhat knew this was going to happen. The actress mentioned that she does feel bad for Pratiksha as she was a sweet girl, but Shehzada did have ego and attitude issues. Niyati mentioned that Shehzada never used to greet the cast with pleasantries like Good morning or a simple acknowledgment of Hi or Hello. Referring to Shehzada, Niyati said, ‘Pata nahi attitude usmein kis baat ka tha’
She feels that whatever has happened, has happened for the best. She also praised Rajan Shahi as a producer and stated that he always treats the entire cast like family members and protects them with utmost care. She emphasized the fact that if such an understanding producer takes such extreme steps of changing its prominent actors, it means he has been affected to that extent.
Prior to Niyati Joshi, actors like Samridhii Shukla, Shruti Ulfat, and others have also been vocal about Shehzada and Pratiksha’s termination. While Samridhii stated that she was not friends with Shehzada and Pratiksha off-screen and hence she can’t comment on what exactly happened between them and the production house, Shruti narrated how both the actors were asked to leave the show in front of the entire cast and crew.
