‘Tulsa King’ Adds Frank Grillo For Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: The General is getting a formidable new opponent. Frank Grillo has joined the Season 2 cast of Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ original series Tulsa King, as a new series regular. The new season of the series starring and executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, which is slated to debut this fall, has begun filming in Oklahoma and Atlanta.

Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and is unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

Grillo will play Bill Bevilaqua, a Kansas City mobster with interests in Tulsa.

In addition to Stallone, Grillo joins an ensemble cast that includes Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Tatiana Zappardino, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.

Sheridan is the creator/executive producer. The series also is executive produced by Craig Zisk, who serves as producing director for Season 2, Terence Winter, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Braden Aftergood and Keith Cox. Tulsa King is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.

Season 1 of Tulsa King will make its broadcast debut on sibling CBS this summer prior to the launch of Season 2 on Paramount+ this fall.

Grillo is best known for his roles in Captain America and Purge franchises, Kingdom, Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and Lamborghini. He will next appear as Rick Flag Sr. in the newly rebooted DC universe of interconnected projects overseen by director James Gunn, set for release later this year/onward. Grillo is repped by CAA, Entertainment 360 and Paul Hastings.
